This old-fashioned cabbage salad is comparable to slaw, but it's a real whole different dish. My mother familiar with make this for this birthday because I adored it. Today, I made some and took it to skilled nursing center where charged staying right now to enjoy for my birthday supper with her. My family enjoyed it yesterday, and mom and their friends enjoyed it now. One little lady said her mother used to help make this salad.

You could grate your personal cabbage like my other i did so, but I just purchase a bag of Cole Slaw Combination at Kroger.

The mayonnaise amount is form of relative. I put amongst 1 and 1 1/2 cups of coffee, but it is genuinely what looks and tastes directly to you. Just don't be stingy within the mayo, and use an effective mayo like Hellman's or simply JFG.

Ingredients:

  • 1 case cabbage slaw mix
  • 2 fruit, sliced and diced
  • 1/2 channel chopped onions
  • 12 "caps" for Apple Cider Vinegar (Using the cap of this apple cider vinegar)
  • 2 provides Splenda artificial sweetener
  • Salt in addition to Pepper
  • Mayonnaise: Around 1-1 1/2 cups

Directions:

  1. Combine cabbage, red onion, vinegar, sweetener, salt along with pepper.
  2. Mix properly, and allow to stand for a couple of minutes.
  3. Add mayonnaise in addition to tomatoes. Mix well.
  4. Chill.
