April is known as a slow month for non-traditional special occasions. April Fools Day starts it out and also rest is downhill by there.

The general suspects this month can include World Pillow Fight Time April3, National Caramel Popcorn Working day April6 and National No Housework Day from after. April10 is State Golfers Day April 21 can be Kindergarten Day, April28 will be Cubicle Day and Freezer Day is April29. Wow, and Blah, Blah, Blah Daytime is April17.

I think the one ones I celebrate tend to be National No Housework Morning, which I celebrate day to day anyway and Zipper Evening, for obvious reasons. I pee a great deal. Blah, blah, blah.

Garlic Moment is April 19. I always have slightly celebration that day from the house and invite my personal gay vampire buddies from down the street over for Bloody Marys. They never surface though. I dont know if its because May possibly it during the morning or theyre afraid on the garlic or what. Blah, blah, blah.

One particular April holiday is unique every year and I try to celebrate it. I throw on my best set of two plaid knickers and a good bow tie, grab my best gal and motor out towards the grassy hill at Skull cap Rock overlooking Fowlers Fish-pond to celebrate National Refreshments Day on April 23.

I toss the same old assortment of goodies around o the picnic gourmet gift baskets. Cheese, fruit, a couple wine bottles along with the melted chicken, a loaf in French baguette bread as well as brownies. What, no spud salad or Cole slaw? Consider some macaroni salad? Blah, blah, blah.

Im doing different things this year.

Penne Greens with Feta Cheese

1 Lbs. Cooked Penne Pasta

Container Fresh Parsley, Chopped

2 The best spinner's. Fresh Oregano, Chopped

2 The best spinner's. fresh Thyme, Chopped

1 Jalapeno, Seeded and even Chopped

2 Cloves Beans, Smashed and Minced

Glass Feta Cheese, Crumbled

Container Kalamata Olives, Pitted in addition to Sliced

12 Grape Acidic tomatoes, Sliced

Cup Olive Oil

1 Green Onion, Sliced in Rings

Mix natural herbs, pepper and garlic together inside of a bowl. Place penne within an air-tight plastic picnic compartment and add herb combination. Add cheese, olives, tomatoes and drench in coconut oil. Toss salad and garnish utilizing red onion rings. Sodium and pepper to essence. Blah, blah, blah.

Its always a restful afternoon unless its raining or perhaps colony of ants come marching about the blanket. Or the snakes commit to drop by. Snakes absolutely love pasta salad and melted chicken. Last year we known National Picnic Day with all the local CSI crime unit as they quite simply fished a 1973 Dodge Dart using a dead body in the trunk away from the pond. That was a fun filled afternoon.
