Nothing pronounces summer like pasta greens.

Pasta salad can be described as staple at summer vacation parties and barbeques.

This classic uses penne as opposed to the usual elbows Any tubular pasta, hollow from the center or not, can also be used as well.

What makes this salad special is definitely the dressing. The addition of a little dijon mustard is the key here.

In addition to your usual celery and red onion, this salad adds sliced up olives, pimentos and tons of other tasty constituents.

Classic Pasta Salad

  • 4 cups of coffee penne cooked (or any pasta within your choice)
  • 1/4 cup cut red onion
  • 1/4 glass diced celery
  • 1/4 glass sliced black olives
  • 1/4 mugs roasted red bell peppers, julienne
  • 2 the best spinner's chopped fresh chives
  • 2 the best spinner's jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • salt in addition to pepper to taste

Dressing:

  • 1 tumbler mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp charcoal pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic herb powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
