This beer is released each year in January. So when this is seen on the display in June....... complete charm! This is the 2nd release with their "Dictator Series". Despite the very long time on the shelf, this beer is still definately not letting you down. The total amount between malt character & ut bitterness is superb. At a great 10. 4% alc. from vol., this beer is actually dangerously drinkable!
The basic malt profile features the standard 2-row malt, associated with Victory malt and a number of 120L crystal. The specialty malts supply the beer a deep golden color together with creating the malt flavor profile that is certainly neither overly complex or plain/ordinary. The use from Centennial, Columbus, Chinook & Simcoe hops, creates the wonderful hop profile that is "grapefruit", "citrusy", "piney" or simply "resinous". The beer leaves a great lacing on the glass simply because drink.
The ONLY possible mark from this beer is below extraordinary head retention. It does pour a great white fluffy head. And yet, it does seem to fade following a 2nd to 3rd drink.
