Ingredients needed to help make Old-Fashioned Biscuits (makes 12):

  • 2 glasses flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. preparing powder
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 The best spinner's. butter, chilled
  • 3/4 glass heavy cream
  • extra serious cream for brushing

Steps:

  1. Pre-heat your own oven to 475 college diplomas. Line a baking piece with parchment paper or possibly a silicon sheet.
  2. Into a medium bowl combine most of the ingredients except the substantial cream.
  3. With a pastry blender (see the picture inside slideshow), cut the shortening and butter on the flour mixture until them resembles a coarse diet.
  4. Add the 3/4 mug of heavy cream and stir just before the dough comes together.
  5. Remove the dough to somewhat of a floured surface and knead a very few minutes.
  6. Roll the particular dough out to on the subject of 3/4-inch thickness.

  8. Place your biscuits onto the organized baking sheet.
