A bill that will require mandatory labeling of food made out of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) healed the Connecticut Senate later Tuesday night.

The Senate approved the measure at a 35-1 vote, giving new life towards a statewide grassroots effort which usually stalled out earlier in 2010. The bill will now outlets state's lower chamber designed for debate and possible penetration.
