A crownie? It's possible you'll ask? What in everything is a Crownie? Most certainly, it is my own version from a cross between a chocolate cookie together with a brownie. You see, my two daughters helpful to compare notes on even if chocolate chip cookies had been better crunchy or chewy, whether it had been better for the chips to remain melted or firm, or if they should just desert altogether for the brownie-loving camp. Well, it didnt take miss me to put my check out the task and learn a worthy compromiseand Crownies were being born! These cookies might take a tad bit more time, but in the final they are well worth the energy!

Ingredients:
2 cups of sifted white flour (Yes, sifting is crucial! )
2 t. of baking powder
2/3 cup butter
8 oz of. Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate (solid dark chocolate, not chips)
1 container chopped toasted hazelnuts
2 glasses white sugar
4 eggs
1T. vanilla extract
l almond extract
2 mugs chopped chunks of Ghirardelli semisweet chocolate

Instructions:
Preheat cooker to 350 degrees.
In a substantial bowl, mix the flour along with baking powder.
In an important saucepan over low temperatures, melt the butter along with 8 oz. chocolate; Mix on the sugar, vanilla, and almond. Remove from heat and whip with the eggs.
Stir into your flour mixture, adding this nuts and chopped candy. Because the mixture can be warm, the chocolate chunks will start to melt down just any littlethats ok!
Let stand within the bowl for about 10 a short time. Drop by teaspoonfuls to a lightly greased of baking sheet.
Bake regarding 9 minutes at 350 deg. Cookies will appear slightly soft and perhaps not done after they ARE done. Over-baking is likely to make them too firm rather than chewy.
This food makes 5 dozen compact cookies.
