I don't always ponder drink recipes when I discuss cooking. But a special beverage will give a lovely touch to a chain link afternoon, even if a lot of the outdoors is after sunset throughout Arizona, where the daytime temperature broke a century many days ago.

So for anybody who is grilling outside, you still might be sitting inside. If you might be, or if you realize it's pleasant on the deck tending the grill, from the iced tea is just the ticket for an afternoon of conversation along with dinner.

This recipe makes similar to a tea-based Margarita, which often can be delicious, and though it requires preparation, you could still do a lot of it the day previously. It will also consist of less liquor overall as opposed to the classic Margarita cocktail.

PATIO EVENING TEA

Ingredients:

14 cups of water, divided
6 individual-sized dark tea bags
1-1/2 glasses sugar
3/4 cup thawed icy orange juice concentrate
3/4 mug thawed frozen lemonade concentrate
1 glass tequila
Fresh mint leaves and lime or lemon slices for garnish

In an excessive saucepan, bring 4 glasses of water to a skin boil. Remove from the temperature, add the teabags plus steep for 4 seconds. Remove and discard teabags.

(At this point you may choose to refrigerate the tea in a single day and take the recipe up again if you are ready to serve. )

Stir during the sugar, concentrate and the residual water. Finally add the tequila and refrigerate through to the tea is thoroughly relaxed.

Decant the tea towards a pitcher and add a garnish. Serve over ice.
