Two yrs ago, the USDA issued the nutrition guideline called MyPlate, that we wrote about here using cautious optimism. It was certainly a noticable difference over the old foods pyramid, but according to folks at Harvard, the application still had flaws. Harvard School of Public Health has issued its own direct to healthy eating, identified as Healthy Eating Plate. Them, too, uses the visual image on the plate with colored quadrants, but an end look reveals some truly valuable improvements.
Perhaps the most significant is the emphasis at whole grains (as in opposition to the refined ones weve grow to be used to).
