If everyone follow me on Myspace, you know that yesterday I informed everyone I was implementing a new sandwich. I teased that it might be a Southwestern influenced sandwich plus it would have layered prepared tri-tip and sauteed shrimp involved thereafter to make mouths water more, it would be provided open-face on Roasted Garlic cloves Sourdough Bread. Then late the other day, I posted a picture on the sandwich and that is it. I received many e-mail asking where your recipe and how-to illustrations or photos were. Well... here they are simply!
This is a sandwich I focus on as a dinner meal. It is a little too large for a lunch but a result of the way it is willing and presented, it falls within the category of a sub. Personally, I love aquiring a sandwich like this for supper. You combine it by using a wonderful beer or any glass of wine and it also can beat anything else using a menu.
A few reasons for this sandwich. We possess a good quality bread on a local baker. You can see wonderful artisan breads in every major supermarkets. You don't need to use Roasted Garlic Sourdough Loaf of bread. I opted for this bread as being the taste goes wonderfully well with the grilled tri-tip and the actual sauteed shrimp. This is a wonderful sandwich to employ leftover grilled tri-tip. Just make certain the meat is cut very thin.
The recipe I can give you will be personally sandwich. In many cases one particular sandwich can feed a couple. I will not enter in the grilling of the tri-tip when i will assume you have learned to do this. Ingredients needed to help with making The Southwestern (makes 1 significant sandwich):
- 6 very thinly sliced bits of grilled tri-tip
- 1/4 loaf roasting garlic sourdough bread, halved lengthwise
- 1 The best spinner's. mayonnaise
- 1 Tbs. horseradish mustard
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 The best spinner's. olive oil
- 1/4 pounds. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 jalapeno spice up, stemmed, seeded and julienned (see snap shots in slideshow)
- 1 infant sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp. soup powder
Steps:
- On the actual half of the bakery spread the mayonnaise. With top half spread the horseradish mustard.
- Layer the small slices of grilled tri-tip on each one half of bread. Layer the tomato slices across the tri-tip (see pictures within slideshow).
- In a fabulous medium skillet, heat the olive oyl over medium heat. Include the shrimp, jalapeno spice up, onion and chili powdered and saute 5 minutes (longer with regards to the size of the shrimp).
- Place the sauteed shrimp with the tomato slices and therefore spoon the pepper/onion mixture across the shrimp (and yes, add seasoned olive oil these were sauteed in -- check out pictures in slideshow).
- Sprinkle using a little salt and spice up and serve.
