The lastly installment of my Expo West articles covers the best picks for gluten-free watering holes, baked goods, and products. There were many contenders inside these categories, so I limited my list into the top contenders. All of these items should start arriving about store shelves over the next several months.

Baked Goods

  • Fabe's Organic Bakery - this was my beginer trying their chocolate cupcake which can be being offered nationwide from Chuck E. Cheese's. While Anways, i do wish it is freed from dairy, I was curious by this fruit-juice sweetened cupcake along with found it moist, a little bit dense, and incredibly decadent. Fabe's may be a West Coast company, therefore it is good to know we will at least buy an example of their products locally, even if at a pizza place without having to a store.
  • Pillsbury - is at Expo West because of their new line of gluten-free, separately wrapped muffins in 2 flavors: Chocolate Chip along with Blueberry. Their muffins are co-packed for him or her by Uncle Wally's and perhaps they are GFCO certified, so no are worried about cross contamination. The muffins hold both dairy and soy, i absolutely didn't try them, but I heard they may be soft, moist, and certainly not crumbly.

Bars

  • Enjoy Lifestyle Foods - added four new flavors on their popular line of rungs: Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Sunbutter, Cinnamon Bun, in addition to S'mores. Their bars are without any the top eight allergens and perhaps they are chewy, not crunchy. Concerning yet to try the samples, but I love all the flavor combinations and I presume the Chocolate Sunbutter, that'll remind me of an important peanut butter cup, shall be my favorite.

  • Larabar - added a fresh line of bars in their portfolio with the ALT health proteins bars in four flavour: Cinnamon Apple Crisp, Orange Pound Cake, Peanut Butter Dessert, and Pumpkin Pie. Each bar contains 10 grams of protein plus they are made with pea healthy proteins. It is a decent change of pace to discover a protein bar that isn't stuffed with whey protein, or soy aminoacids. I ate the peanut butter cookie bar around the flight back from Expo West but it kept me full to get a full three hours.
  • Nature's Path - increased three granola bars recommended to their gluten-free offerings: Dark Candy Chip, Chunky Chocolate Peanut, plus Trail Mixer. These discos are organic, contain 12 grams connected with whole grains and taste for a wheat-based granola bar.
  • The Gluten No cost Bar - rolled out their new distinct Gluten Free Bites for three flavors: Dark Delicious chocolate, Dark Chocolate Mint, and Chocolate brown Coconut. All three of such new products are unencumbered with soy protein and instead employ a blend of brown grain and pea protein. The other good news is that they need to be removing the soy protein from a bunch of their bars over the next month or two.
  • Zing Bars - put in two new dairy-free cafes to its line: Two bottle Nut Brownie and Sunflower Dark chocolate Mint (nut free). These bars have wonderful flavor and texture along with being shame that they aren't on store shelves in the neighborhood. I love that they need added more dairy-free flavors at their line.

Drinks

I don't normally spend major time sampling drinks at Expo Western side, but there were some that really caught your attention.

  • Bhakti Chai - incorporates a line of iced herbal tea and coffee chai within four flavors: Original, Decaf, Flavored coffee Blend, and Semi Lovely. Their chai is created with: fresh-pressed organic ginger, fresh-ground cardamom, normal, Fair Trade black tea from Assam region of Indian, and evaporated organic walking cane juice. I loved the spicy ginger kick additionally, the originality surrounding the products and flavor combinations.
  • Blue Monkey - provides a line of coconut-based wines, but it was their particular Instant Coconut Water that found unique. It is really a powdered mix that you also increase water and voila coconut drinking water. I have yet to test it, but I think in the home . great for travel.
  • Califia Farms - added a whole new flavor to their Almondmilk range: Cafe Latte. Their almondmilk products are actually dairy and soy free additionally they contain no saturated fats.
