Thousands about mango-lovers converged on Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for that 21st annual International Mango Event on Saturday, July 13, not to mention Sunday, July 14, 2013.

It was a way to savor this succulent sunny fruit, and to find out more about its many varieties as well as uses. Although this several years festival featured Mexican mangos, varieties from elsewhere all over the world were not neglected. The worlds largest mango series was on display during the Garden House, providing a touch-and-sniff connection with the assorted aromas, forms and sizes, and colors of diverse forms of mangos.

Attendees could also taste an array of mangos and vote with regards to favorites, attend cooking routines by top chefs, sample baked goods and various other foods containing mangos, pay for mango seedlings to seed and mangos to use, and watch a run of owl butterflies feast on mangos inside the gardens Wings of that Tropics Exhibit.

A highlight on the festival, on Saturday evening only, was the Mango Bites Sampling an array of mango dishes and items from restaurants, caterers, together with businesses. They included tiny mango choux buns as a result of Joannas Marketplace, mango quiche from Kennys Great Pies, not to mention mango coco-chia pudding as a result of Whole Foods Market. Linda Aamal Kite from Antie Maes Enterprise supplied a piquant mango-ginger bakery pudding.

Many belonging to the food vendors on any Garden House lawn included mango recipes on the menus.
