Happy Memorial Day to! Hopefully, you have a morning off today and definately will do some fun details! Many are planning to cook outdoors or simply just rest and relax a lot of today. This would also even be a good day to cook, since there is more spare time to enjoy doing it all.

Since Memorial Day signifies the start of the summer season (though this doesn't happen officially begin until 06 21), let's bake whatever is refreshingly different: "French Apple Cake". This is a unique cake that is one layer as well as topped with an apricot glaze. It's just a light and flavorful cake and a second you won't have towards feel very guilty pertaining to eating. FRENCH ORANGE COLORED CAKE

  • 4 large offspring, separated
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • grated zest of merely one orange (the colored percentage of the orange)

  • 1 bottle apricot jam or preserves
